Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patient condition throughout the night
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform timely assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses and providers to implement patient-centered care plans
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and clear communication
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed to keep unit flow smooth

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (eligible to work in Maine) — RN candidates may be considered per posting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications welcomed
• Clinical experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is a plus
• Strong communication, assessment, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently overnight and as part of a collaborative team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN); RN applicants should hold an accredited Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
• Clear communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
