Location: Andover, MA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality direct nursing care to residents
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Assess resident condition and communicate changes promptly to the team
Document care thoroughly to support continuity and compliance
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to create individualized care plans
Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity
Participate in facility infection control and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts (or eligible to obtain)
OR current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts if applying as RN
Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or required based on facility policy)
Prior long-term care or rehab nursing experience preferred
Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN program (or RN diploma/associate for RN applicants)
High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing procedures, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic charting
Ability to assess changes in resident condition and escalate appropriately
Skilled at building rapport with residents and working in interdisciplinary teams
Time management and organizational skills for per diem shift work
