Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic imaging services across CT and MRI modalities, ensuring high-quality image acquisition and excellent patient care
• Perform MRI and CT procedures in accordance with established protocols and manufacturer recommendations
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment; escalate to service engineers when needed to minimize downtime
• Practice and promote radiation safety, adhering to ALARA principles for patient and staff protection
• Maintain accurate patient records and charges in the EHR, ensuring documentation integrity and compliance
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and expectations to ensure cooperation and reduce anxiety
• Assist with other imaging modalities (X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, OR imaging) and support cross-training efforts
• Support clerical functions and patient transportation as required to keep the department running smoothly
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and required annual training

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI certifications required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Successful background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting required prior to hire
• Preferred: Two (2) years' experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI experience
• Preferred cross-training in DEXA and Mammography; experience with PACS and RIS/HIS systems

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) operation and protocols
• Digital radiography, X-ray, fluoroscopy, and C-arm/OR imaging experience
• Radiation safety (ALARA) and patient safety practices
• Image acquisition techniques and quality assurance
• EHR documentation, PACS, RIS, and HIS proficiency
• Equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance escalation
• Strong patient communication and education skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
