Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately
• Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and the care team to support coordinated care
• Document care delivered in a timely and professional manner
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
• Reliable, compassionate, and good communicator with a patient-first mindset
• Previous experience in a long-term care, acute care, or similar healthcare setting preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care skills including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety procedures
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Clear verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Basic documentation and charting skills
