Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on daily care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
Document care activities accurately and timely to keep resident records up to date
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety practices
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (or eligible) — must meet state requirements
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role including assisting with mobility
Previous long-term care or facility experience is a plus but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic resident care and activities of daily living
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
