Shift Type: Days to be confirmed, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (8-hour shift, day)

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility safely
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Support patient comfort and dignity while fostering independence
Document care and observations clearly in the resident record
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable
Active CNA certification in Connecticut preferred
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward residents
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient transfers, safe lifting and mobility assistance
Proficient in taking/recording vital signs and documenting care
Knowledge of infection control best practices
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) is helpful
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Attention to detail and reliable time management
