Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for patients
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff
Assist with basic treatments and follow care plans as directed
Participate in shift handoffs and documentation to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (appropriate for Pennsylvania)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfort working in a per diem format with variable scheduling
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED plus CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and control practices
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Clear verbal and written communication with patients and team members
Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
Basic familiarity with electronic health record documentation
