Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning of residents
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care and observations in resident charts according to facility standards
• Support infection control practices and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
• Previous patient care experience preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage physical demands of the role

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, basic nursing procedures, and infection control
• Comfortable taking vitals and observing/reporting changes
• Good charting and documentation habits
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nurses
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
