Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, and safe transfers
• Measure, record, and report vital signs and any changes in resident condition
• Support meal service and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a safe, clean environment while following infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and professionally with nurses, families, and the care team
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s charting system
• Act as an advocate for resident comfort, dignity, and emotional wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state-certified or eligible
• Comfortable working 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM night shifts and able to respond calmly in busy situations
• Current CPR/BLS is preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a resident-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Understanding of infection control and safe handling procedures
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
