Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Variable days (per-diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care including bathing, grooming, and assistance with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs and report any concerning changes to the nursing team
Support patient mobility and transfers safely using proper techniques
Assist with meal service and ensure hydration needs are met
Document care accurately and hand off important information during shift changes
Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (or equivalent) — Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligible
CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered mindset
Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and any required health screenings

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic bedside care
Proficiency taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection control best practices
Basic charting skills; experience with electronic health records is a plus
Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns to nursing staff promptly
