Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, changes in condition, and report concerns promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear communication
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to stand, lift, and assist residents as part of daily duties
• Flexible availability to cover assigned shifts and occasional schedule needs

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident hygiene
• Ability to take and accurately chart vital signs
• Familiarity with safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced care setting
• Customer service mindset when interacting with residents and families
