Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care — assist with ADLs and promote dignity
• Perform timely and accurate vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support mobility and safe transfers, reducing patient fall risk
• Document patient interactions clearly and professionally in the chart
• Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming and toileting while encouraging independence
• Communicate effectively with nurses, providers and caregivers to coordinate care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards on your unit

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
• Active basic CPR certification (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working evenings and the specified schedule: Sat–Wed, 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required immunizations
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
• Previous experience in a medical or correctional healthcare setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current California CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing care
• Skillful in taking and reporting vital signs and observations
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety procedures
• Solid documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Calm, patient-centered communication even in busy or stressful moments
