Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care and observations
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Help keep the care environment clean, safe, and comfortable for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and repositioning residents

Education

• CNA certification from an accredited program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of activities of daily living and basic nursing care
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Fundamental infection control and safety practices
• Good observational skills to notice and report resident changes
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Teamwork and respectful patient-family communication
