Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights (schedule varies), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Monitor and document vital signs and patient status throughout the 12-hour night shift
Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff and contribute to care plans
Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Support residents' emotional needs and promote dignity, independence, and comfort

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
Active New Mexico CNA credential or ability to obtain prior to start
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Background check and required immunizations as per facility policy
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently during night shifts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills and knowledge of basic ADLs
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Infection control and safety procedures
Good communication and teamwork with nursing staff
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks on a busy night shift
