Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic cardiac catheterization and interventional PCI procedures to help restore patient health
• Support electrophysiology (EP) studies and cardiac device implants with attention to sterile technique and safety
• Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment, supplies, and imaging systems for efficient workflows
• Monitor hemodynamics and patient condition during procedures and communicate changes to the care team
• Participate in structural heart cases and other specialty procedures as needed
• Document procedures, patient data, and post-procedure care accurately and promptly
• Respond to call assignments and provide high-quality coverage for nights and weekends when scheduled
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to create a smooth, patient-centered experience

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• License/certificate verification will be completed prior to start (as listed in pre-hire requirements)
• Proven cath lab experience with cardiac catheterization, PCI, EP, and cardiac devices; some structural heart exposure is a plus
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of credentialing
• Ability to pass required health screening items (fit test, drug screen, TB, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, COVID-19 vaccine as required)
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to function well under procedural time pressures

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certificate or Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related allied health program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of cath lab workflows, sterile technique, and radiation safety
• Familiarity with monitoring hemodynamics and interpreting basic cardiac rhythms
• Experience with EP equipment, device implantation processes, and structural procedure support
• Proficiency in patient prep, instrumentation, and intra-procedural support
• Comfortable with call responsibilities and rapid clinical decision-making
• Accurate clinical documentation and electronic health record usage
