Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise Lead and Senior Technologists while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered team culture
Manage daily staffing and resource allocation to meet productivity and budget targets
Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards including Joint Commission, Title 17 and Title 22
Oversee image quality control and enforce departmental policies and best practices
Perform and occasionally assist with diagnostic imaging procedures and provide patient, family, and staff education
Act as a liaison between physicians, nursing, clerical staff, and service engineers to coordinate imaging services smoothly
Monitor departmental performance, report trends to leadership, and implement corrective actions when needed
Support staff development through coaching, evaluations, and progressive discipline when appropriate

Qualifications

Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the State of California or current ARRT license
Current CPR certification
Minimum five years as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting; three to five years managerial experience desired
Preferred: specialized certification (NMTBC, MRI, or other recognized certifying agency)
Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills

Education

Associate Degree

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, Title 17 & Title 22, and ACR compliance
Strong understanding of radiographic exposure, radiation physics and protection, and radiobiology
Proven ability in quality assurance and image quality control
Competence in patient care, positioning, and specialized imaging techniques
Skilled in performance improvement, staff development, and resource management
Excellent communication, delegation, and conflict resolution abilities
