Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to acute and ICU patients with compassion and precision
• Manage and troubleshoot ICU ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment
• Perform ABG draws and interpret results to guide clinical decisions
• Assist with intubations and advanced airway management when needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about respiratory procedures and equipment
• Apply critical thinking to adjust ventilator settings and respond to changing patient needs

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant acute care/ICU respiratory experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Experience with ICU ventilators and ventilator management
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR for accurate charting
• Comfort working independently on night shifts and as part of a small team

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management including V60, GE R860, Hamilton C1, HT70 and transport vents
• High-flow therapies and Vapotherm/Comfort Flow HFNC experience
• ABG interpretation and critical thinking to adjust care quickly
• Intubation support and airway management skills
• Experience in ED and acute care environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients and families
