Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and produce clear, actionable treatment plans
• Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions
• Provide crisis intervention and ensure client safety in urgent situations
• Collaborate with custody staff and an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care
• Document clinical encounters accurately and timely in the medical record
• Participate in case conferences, treatment reviews, and quality improvement efforts
• Advocate for patients' behavioral health needs while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Current PSYL or LCSW credential required; LMFT or LPCC also accepted
• Active professional license in good standing (no disciplinary restrictions)
• Experience working in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience is a strong plus
• Demonstrated skills in assessment, crisis management, and clinical documentation
• Ability to pass required background checks and comply with facility clearance procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for complex behavioral health needs
• Individual and group therapy techniques and evidence-based practices
• Crisis intervention, de-escalation, and suicide prevention skills
• Thorough clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
• Cultural competence and trauma-informed care approaches
• Understanding of correctional environment dynamics and safety protocols
