Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based chemical dependency and mental health clinical care to individuals and families
- Conduct screening, diagnostic evaluations, mental status exams and assessments using DSM-IV
- Develop, implement and revise individualized treatment plans that meet client needs
- Deliver crisis intervention and support in emergent situations, including ER consults as needed
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate care and advocate for clients with community agencies, probation officers and other stakeholders
- Facilitate or co-facilitate patient care conferences and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide discharge planning, referrals and continuity of care to ensure positive client outcomes
- Participate in quality management trainings and help integrate new practices into clinical work
- Assist with provider enrollment, billing duties, and required reporting as assigned
Qualifications
- Alaska LCSW license required at time of submittal
- Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related discipline from an accredited institution
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) also acceptable
- Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor I or MAC certificate preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- Flu vaccine required
- Fingerprint cards must be submitted to SEARHC in Juneau within 1 week of offer for ICPA background clearance
- Strong experience with assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning and clinical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with community partners and multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related discipline from an accredited educational institution
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation, DSM-IV use, and mental status examinations
- Skilled in individual, family, marriage and child counseling techniques
- Competent in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment
- Experienced in case management, care coordination and client advocacy
- Able to write clear, concise clinical notes and reports that meet accreditation and billing standards
- Familiar with documentation regulations, ethical practice and federal/state requirements
- Comfortable collaborating with clinical and paraprofessional teams to meet client goals
- Knowledgeable about community resources and referral pathways
