Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered critical care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
• Provide direct bedside care for critically ill patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and response to clinical changes
• Communicate clearly and promptly with physicians and the care team about changes in patient status and abnormal results
• Direct and guide patient and family education to support recovery and informed decision-making
• Collaborate with nursing personnel to maintain standards of care and coordinate patient activities
• Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality in all interactions and documentation
• Participate in required competency exams and specialty skills checklists to ensure high quality care

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital and/or critical care
• CCRN certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Able to pass required pre-employment screenings (drug screen, TB, fit test, immunizations)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of diagnostic results
• Strong clinical communication with physicians, patients and families
• Direct critical care nursing and acute care skills
• Patient and family education to support care plans
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR workflows (preferred)
