Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist and scrub during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures to support safe, efficient care
• Maintain sterile technique and handle instruments with precision during cases
• Provide on-call support evenings and every-other-weekend coverage as scheduled
• Monitor patient rhythms and support the team with rhythm interpretation when needed
• Prepare and check cath lab and IR equipment to ensure readiness for procedures
• Document procedures and patient care activities accurately and professionally
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and techs to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid license/certification verification as required by state and facility
• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Ability to scrub and assist in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures (required)
• Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation screening required (preferred skill demonstrated)
• Willingness to complete facility-required health screenings and immunizations
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities, including evening and alternate weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with cath lab and interventional radiology procedures and workflows
• Proficient in sterile technique, instrument handling, and procedural setup
• Basic rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment and responding on-call
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care with the clinical team
• Attention to detail for documentation, equipment checks, and infection control practices
