Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab
• Assess procedure rooms and equipment for readiness and safety before each case
• Monitor and record physiologic and hemodynamic data continuously during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Communicate patient condition clearly and proactively with physicians and the cardiovascular team
• Assist with cardiac procedures and support the team during interventions
• Maintain equipment, supplies and inventory to ensure smooth case flow
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities to elevate patient care

Qualifications

• Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license required (Nursys verification noted)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS required and must be maintained
• DCI/BVP certification listed in job requirements
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area
• Successful completion of Prime competency exams and checklists as required (Basic Pharmacology, Rhythm Interpretation, Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Specialty Exam)
• Required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, TB testing, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, drug screen, fit test, etc.)

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac nursing and cardiovascular procedure assistance
• Hemodynamic monitoring and patient monitoring during invasive procedures
• Clinical assessment skills for adult and geriatric populations
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot procedural equipment and ensure readiness
• Strong communication and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with performance improvement and quality initiatives
