Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and needs using thorough telemetry monitoring
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate outcomes
• Provide expert cardiac monitoring and respond promptly to changes
• Teach patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate timely interventions
• Document care accurately and maintain standards of safety and quality
• Mentor and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards

Qualifications

• Current, valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Telemetry nursing experience with cardiac monitoring required
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• DCI/BVP certification listed as a preferred credential
• Nursys verification and completion of required facility screening (vaccines, TB, drug screen)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation
• Basic pharmacology knowledge relevant to acute care
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring equipment and alarms
• Patient/family education and clear clinical communication
• Comfortable responding quickly and accurately to clinical changes
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and clinical checklists
