Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care nursing for adult ICU patients
• Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing changes and escalating promptly
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced cardiovascular support
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Lead or participate in bedside procedures and emergency responses when needed
• Coach and educate patients and families with compassion and clarity
• Maintain required certifications and complete facility competency and skills assessments

Qualifications

• Active RN license registered and verifiable via Nursys
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• DCI/BVP certification as listed by the facility
• Comfortable using EPIC for charting and order entry
• Ability to pass required screenings including drug screen, health/immunization requirements, and Prime competency exams
• COVID-19 vaccination and standard healthcare immunizations as required by facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment in high-acuity situations
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and advanced life support
• Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary ICU care
• Familiarity with EPIC workflows for charting, orders, and results
• Skilled in medication administration, infusion management, and procedure support
• Comfortable with infection control practices and PPE protocols
