Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures with attention to image quality and patient comfort
• Operate CT scanners and related equipment safely and according to protocol
• Prepare patients for scanning including screening for contraindications and contrast needs
• Position patients and select technical parameters to ensure diagnostic-quality studies
• Follow radiation safety practices and maintain accurate dose documentation
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support prompt, accurate diagnoses
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, stocking of supplies, and basic troubleshooting
• Complete required documentation and electronic health record entries in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current CT certification or equivalent experience (CT skills listed as core requirement)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• DCI/BVP certification (as listed in the order) required
• License/Certificate Verification required prior to start
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Ability to pass required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, TB, Varicella, Tdap) and drug screening
• Fit test and color-blind test as part of onboarding requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in CT imaging techniques and CT scanner operation
• Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and screening (DCI/BVP)
• Strong patient positioning and communication skills
• Understanding of radiation safety and dose reduction strategies
• Familiarity with electronic health records and exam documentation
• Infection control practices and adherence to required health screenings
• Ability to complete competency exams and specialty checklists
