Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients during night shifts
• Monitor and interpret complex physiologic data and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and manage infusions and advanced life support measures per protocols
• Perform thorough and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions and patient responses
• Participate in required competency testing and maintain certifications to ensure high-quality care
• Support families with clear communication and respectful, patient-centered care during difficult moments

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be eligible to practice in California)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in job requirements
• ICU / critical care nursing experience (prior ICU experience preferred)
• Successful completion of license/certificate verification and required health screening
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of critical care principles and ICU workflows
• Comfort with advanced monitoring and responding to hemodynamic changes
• Skilled at concise, accurate documentation and handoff communication
• Ability to work independently on night shift while engaging the interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with hospital policies for infection control, medication safety and emergency response
