Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiographic and cardiac sonography exams using ultrasound equipment with attention to image quality
• Collaborate with cardiology and care teams to provide timely, patient-centered imaging and results
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate findings per department protocols
• Follow infection control practices and safety procedures to protect patients and staff
• Complete required competency testing and checklists such as Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Support a positive patient experience by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing compassionate care

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP credential as listed in job requirements
• License/certificate verification completed and valid for practice
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as required by facility
• Ability to work per diem 3x12 day shifts with open availability
• Up-to-date occupational health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test, fit test, drug screening, hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, varicella, Tdap, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Echocardiography and cardiac sonography techniques and protocols
• Skilled ultrasound image acquisition and optimization
• Patient positioning and preparation for cardiac imaging
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with documentation requirements and electronic health records
• Adherence to safety, infection control, and departmental quality standards
