Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing
• Manage ventilators and perform advanced respiratory care to optimize patient outcomes
• Titrate vasopressor drips safely and monitor hemodynamic status closely
• Recognize and manage sepsis and acute arrhythmias with timely interventions
• Assist with or manage invasive procedures such as intubation and central line care
• Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with intensivists, multidisciplinary teams and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care
• Advocate for patients and families, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Colorado (or compact license valid for practice in Colorado)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) highly recommended or required per facility policy
• Demonstrated competence in ventilator management and vasoactive medication titration
• Comfort with high-acuity patients, central lines and emergency response
• Ability to work nights, rotate weekends and float as needed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and completion of required clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and advanced respiratory support
• Vasopressor/pressor drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Sepsis recognition and protocol-driven sepsis care
• Arrhythmia identification and urgent management
• Central line care and familiarity with invasive lines
• Experience with Meditech EMR for documentation and charting
• Familiarity with CRRT and cardiac care is a plus
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a good sense of humor under pressure
