Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care as an LPN or RN on the unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow patient care plans
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Document patient care clearly and timely to maintain continuity and compliance
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
• Support unit operations by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (eligible for Maine licensure or currently licensed in Maine)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and adapt to facility workflows
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• LPN: Completed accredited LPN program (certificate/diploma)
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and standards of care
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
