Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility protocol
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and reporting
• Mentor and support facility staff during your assignment to help elevate care standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN license or RN license (eligible to work in Maine) — multistate compact license accepted if applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred where applicable
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related acute care settings preferred
• Clean background check and current immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on travel assignments

Education

• LPN: Diploma or Certificate in Practical Nursing
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Wound care and basic skin integrity management
• Ability to use electronic health records and complete timely charting
• Time management and prioritization during long shifts
• Team collaboration, patient advocacy, and family communication
