Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across assigned shifts
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and follow-up
• Escalate changes in patient condition promptly and communicate with providers
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and adhere to facility policies and standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California or compact license where applicable
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or PALS if applicable to unit
• Per diem or recent acute care experience preferred; comfort with 12-hour night shifts a plus
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and safety practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage a caseload during overnight hours
• Comfort working independently during night shifts and making timely decisions
• Customer-focused mindset and strong bedside manner with patients and families
