Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients during the overnight shift
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs and patient observations
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control protocols
• Help with safe patient transfers and use of proper body mechanics
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in patient records
• Collaborate respectfully with interdisciplinary team members to deliver quality care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-required) or eligibility for certification in California
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and provide hands-on patient care
• Clear background check and TB/medical clearance as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Comfort with the physical demands of patient handling and mobility assistance

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved state CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundations of patient care and safety best practices
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
• Experience assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
• Understanding of infection prevention and control procedures
• Accurate charting and documentation habits
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with patients and families
