Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist CVOR surgeons directly during operations, providing focused, hands-on support
• Perform endoscopic and open vein harvest with precision and care
• Control intraoperative bleeding and provide effective hemostasis
• Provide wound exposure and perform suturing to support optimal surgical outcomes
• Staff operating rooms as the RN First Assistant across cardiothoracic and vascular cases
• Support endoluminal AAA, thoracic procedures, CEAs and a full range of vascular surgeries

Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be eligible to practice in Missouri)
• Minimum 2-3 years of RN First Assistant / CVOR experience
• Proven proficiency in endoscopic and open vein harvest techniques
• Demonstrated experience with CABG, MVR, TAVR, AVR and other cardiothoracic procedures
• Experience with endoluminal AAA, thoracic surgery, CEA and vascular surgery
• Strong suturing and intraoperative hemostasis skills
• Comfortable staffing rooms and providing direct assistance to CVOR surgeons
