Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients transitioning from ICU
Monitor critical patients with advanced cardiac and neurological needs
Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Administer medications and interventions per physician orders
Educate patients and families on recovery plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state (Nursys verification required)
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
DCI/BVP certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience
Ability to pass Prime Health screening exams (pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, etc.)
Must be fully vaccinated per facility requirements (COVID-19, MMR, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
Experience with ventilators, IV drips, and telemetry
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity environments
