Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain oral health
- Examine patients for signs of oral diseases or abnormalities
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants
- Document patient care and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Virginia Dental Hygiene License
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental instruments and equipment
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and pathology
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to educate and motivate patients
