Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients including cardiac monitoring, titration of critical drips, and management of conditions such as sepsis, stroke, and renal failure
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform assessments, interpret telemetry strips, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience preferred
- Competent in arterial line management and drip titration
- Flexible, adaptable team player with strong communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
- Titration of heparin, nitro, dopamine, cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin
- Use of high-flow oxygen equipment
- Bladder scanner and vein finder proficiency
- Patient experience focus and effective communication
