Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 09:00 - 21:00 or 21:00 - 09:00, every other weekend, holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and pediatric cases
Manage critical drips such as Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, and Levophed
Perform and assist with central line placement, chest tubes, and rapid transfusions
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed
Participate in shared governance and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before signing contract
Experience in a facility with similar patient volume, trauma level, and size
Comfortable with central line placement, MTP, chest tubes, trauma, STEMIs, strokes, etc.

Knowledge & Skills

BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Proficient in PulseCheck or Picis EMR
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric
Expertise in managing high-acuity patients and rapid response situations
