Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional preventive dental care to patients of all ages
- Perform thorough cleanings, scaling, and root planing
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Take and document dental x-rays accurately
- Collaborate with dentists to ensure comprehensive care
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license required
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Excellent communication skills and a welcoming bedside manner
Education
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
