Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric cases
• Assess, triage, and treat patients in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke receiving capabilities
• Administer common emergency medications and drips, including pressors and sedation
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and EKGs independently
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe and organized environment, including managing psych patients with security support

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Advanced Dysrhythmia certification required (must pass with 83% before start)
• Comfortable caring for all ages, including pediatric patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert proficiency in emergency nursing skills, including trauma resuscitation and pediatric care
• Strong ability to read and interpret telemetry strips without monitor techs
• Experience with common ER drips and ventilator troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to fast-paced, ever-changing patient assignments
