Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as Charge Nurse in a dynamic ICU float pool across multiple facilities
Provide direct patient care in MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU units as needed
Respond to codes and rapid responses throughout the hospital
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Interpret telemetry and manage ventilator settings
Float to other acuity levels including PCU, stepdown, and med-surg as required

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Prior charge nurse experience required
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Comfortable titrating all critical drips
Preferred: travel experience and Epic experience
First-time travelers must have 3+ years ICU experience

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titration of critical care drips
Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Ventilator management and respiratory support
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Adaptability to float across multiple units and facilities
