Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with rotating days including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac conditions
Manage patient triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced 24-bed ER with 3 trauma bays
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to deliver high-quality care
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and perform life-saving interventions
Maintain accurate patient records using Paragon EMR system
Ensure patient safety and advocate for best outcomes in critical situations

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS (or ENTC) certifications required
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
Strong clinical skills and ability to handle fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Paragon EMR
Knowledge of ECG rhythms and cardiac monitoring
Expertise in trauma, stroke, sepsis, and CHF management
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to perform phlebotomy and patient care tasks
