Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for complex cardiovascular surgeries
• Assist surgeons during open-heart, vascular, and robotic procedures
• Handle and pass surgical instruments with precision and efficiency
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the operative process
• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure seamless case flow
• Manage surgical equipment and troubleshoot as needed

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Surgical Tech license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred for RNs
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Robotics experience (Da Vinci Xi) preferred but willing to train
• At least 1 year of CVOR or cardiac surgery experience
• Ability to take call shifts (6-9 per month, including weekends)

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of sterile techniques and aseptic practices
• Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical equipment and instruments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Adaptability to floating between CVOR and Main OR as needed
