Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, including weekends (Nights Fri/Sat, Days Sat/Sun) and holidays; on-call standby required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a Family Birthing Center.
Assist with deliveries, including twin deliveries, and circulate in OR for Cesarean sections.
Monitor fetal heart tracings using GE monitors and Fetalink system; titrate Pitocin and insulin drips as needed.
Perform NRP at delivery and stabilize newborns in the Level I NICU.
Serve as charge nurse or shift manager, ensuring safe staffing and patient flow.
Collaborate with OB providers, anesthesia on-call, and respiratory therapy to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

Active California RN license in good standing.
Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience (prefer 3 years); will consider L&D only with OR circulating experience.
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced EFM.
Comfortable titrating drips and managing high-risk OB situations.
Must have OR circulating experience; no postpartum-only candidates.

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal monitoring interpretation and AWHONN guidelines.
Titration of Pitocin and insulin drips.
OR circulating for C-sections and twin deliveries.
Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and newborn stabilization.
Charge nurse leadership and staffing coordination.
Proficiency with Fetalink and GE fetal monitors.
