Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
Manage patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, stroke, sepsis, and more
Titrate drips as needed, including cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, using GE monitors
Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team including nurse aides and respiratory therapists
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius rule verification
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% score

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to titrate cardiac drips and interpret telemetry
Excellent communication and teamwork
Proficient in managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
