Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating between 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and post-surgical cases
Titrate and manage multiple cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation protocols
Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using GE monitors
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT, nursing aides, and healthcare support techs
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license and ability to reside outside 50-mile radius from facility
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
Experience with ventilator management and high-flow oxygen devices
Strong telemetry interpretation skills (GE monitors)
Ability to adapt to floating and varying patient assignments
