Location: Sacramento, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied day shifts (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM start), 8-10 hour shifts, with overnight call once a week and weekend call 3 days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and assist in cardiovascular surgeries including CABG and valve procedures
Maintain sterile field and ensure proper instrumentation
Collaborate with surgical team to provide optimal patient outcomes
Monitor patient vitals and interpret EKG strips
Manage call responsibilities and respond to emergency surgeries

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years CVOR experience
BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Ability to interpret EKG strips
Experience with Cerner EMR
First time travelers accepted
Must not have been employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within past year

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures
Proficient in Cerner EMR
EKG interpretation skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork
