Shift Type: Varied 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Mids: 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM, Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); self-scheduling with weekend requirement (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Perform thorough patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment
Administer medications, monitor telemetry, and manage ventilators for critically ill patients
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and ED techs to ensure seamless patient outcomes
Document accurately in Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with the care team
Float between two nearby facilities as needed, with advance notice

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact state eligible)
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred
Strong teamwork orientation and ability to adapt to changing patient volumes
Willingness to make this your primary job without scheduling conflicts

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and telemetry monitoring
Skilled in ventilator management and emergency procedures
Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
Knowledge of trauma, cardiac, and pediatric emergency care (though peds are less common at this campus)
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity environment with up to 115 patients per day
