Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 and 1830-0700, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including high-risk OB and routine obstetrics
Circulate in OR for C-sections and assist with surgical procedures
Perform normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
Float to postpartum unit to care for both mothers and infants as needed
Titrate drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
Collaborate with charge nurses, OBTs, residents, and anesthesia team for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Driver's license required at submittal (for radius rule verification)
Must be able to circulate in OR
Competency in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with titrating drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, pain meds)
Proficiency in EFM (Obix system)
Ability to float to postpartum and occasionally serve as a sitter
Teamwork, positive attitude, flexibility, eagerness to learn
Understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines
