Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 34-bed Birthing Center
• Independently manage and attend deliveries, including low-risk and high-risk births
• Circulate during C-sections and assist with baby transitioning and resuscitation
• Titrate and monitor medications such as Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin per protocol
• Care for postpartum couplets and function seamlessly in the Mother Baby unit
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and NNPs

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience (1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments)
• Active Washington RN license or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring (intermediate or advanced) preferred
• Ability to float to Mother Baby and postpartum as needed
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and assisting with C-sections

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in LDRP care and managing high-risk conditions like preeclampsia and diabetes
• Proficient in Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin administration
• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills (Centricity Perinatal system)
• Excellent communication and adaptability to unit workflows
• Team-oriented with a positive, feedback-receptive attitude
