Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and post-surgical cases
Titrate and manage vasoactive drips, sedation, and insulin infusions
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to monitor alarms
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in an open-book exam during orientation to solidify your skills

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Driver's license required (to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing and managing ventilated patients
Proficiency in titrating cardiac and sedation drips
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
